I started going into FireCask one day a week during my second year of studying Advertising Management and Brand Management at Manchester Metropolitan University. The opportunity gave me a chance to see how some of the skills I learnt in my first year were put into practice and also gave me the opportunity to see how a business operates day-to-day.

I have now been given the opportunity to work in FireCask throughout the summer. This will give me an even greater knowledge of how the Digital Marketing world works and will give me priceless work experience. Working within Digital Marketing was something that I never fully considered or even understood before I started university but MMU and FireCask have given me various skills and helped me understand what Digital Marketing is all about and I have to say I really enjoy it.

I am excited to develop my skills of Digital Marketing, including Search, content writing and brand management. The relaxed and helpful atmosphere at FireCask will definitely help me improve my skills. Being a student, my past summers have not been the most productive, and mostly involved lying in bed. So I am actually happy that I can do something productive now that will help me in the future.

I am also enjoying the chance to work in Manchester City Centre every day. I’m risking the wrath from my family and friends in Liverpool here but I love Manchester. It somehow rains a lot more than Liverpool, but it is just a great city and it has everything. I have also enjoyed watching Manchester United fans first hand this season. Thank you David Moyes.
